I finally had the chance to visit the renowned restaurant, praised as the best tonkatsu place in Japan on Tabelog. This time, I ordered the "Special Tenderloin 3-piece Course." I mistakenly arrived 30 minutes early due to a mix-up with my reservation time, but even that waiting period heightened my anticipation.Once seated, I was served cold water, and the delightful aroma of frying tonkatsu filled the air, naturally whetting my appetite. While waiting for the much-anticipated tonkatsu to arrive, I read the recommended way to enjoy it from the QR code provided on the table. When the tenderloin cutlet finally arrived, I was struck by its beautiful presentation. The cross-section glimmered with a hint of cherry pink, and the light, white coating was quite impressive.Taking a bite, I found the coating to be crispy yet light, while the meat was astonishingly tender, releasing a burst of flavor and juices with every chew. It was so delicious that I couldn't help but smile. The pork used that day was the "Sanemon Pork" from Ibaraki Prefecture. It exceeded my expectations, delivering an outstanding quality of tonkatsu.Additionally, the pickled vegetables and the miso soup filled with plenty of mushrooms were rich in flavor, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The rice, highly praised in reviews, was perfectly chewy while maintaining a nice grain structure, allowing me to fully enjoy the natural sweetness and umami of the rice. From the tonkatsu to the side dishes and rice, every element reflected a strong commitment to quality, resulting in a highly satisfying meal.I had a wonderful time at this long-desired restaurant, and I am truly grateful. It is a place I genuinely want to visit again.
