Tonkatsu Narikura was delicious as always. This time, I opted for a course meal and ordered some red wine too! Haha. The owner is actively working in the kitchen. The assorted appetizers were nice, but nothing particularly wowed me, and the crackers were store-bought. However, they paired well with the wine! Surprisingly, I might prefer the local flavors over the typical tonkatsu appetizers. This time, in addition to the tonkatsu, I could choose from seafood and vegetable fritters.I went for the shrimp and salmon fritters.I also considered the horse mackerel fritter, which was a tough choice! Haha.I chose the sweet potato and young corn fritters. The tonkatsu came out first! Haha.Ah, the pork loin is so tender. The meat feels refined, and I can really taste the density of the red meat. The pork belly is deliciously fatty. The cheese mille-feuille paired with the chili sauce is fantastic!I wondered if that was all the tonkatsu, but then the shabu-brisket came out! What a relief. The salmon and shrimp fritters were incredibly tasty! Especially the salmon! Both the chili sauce and tartar sauce complement them perfectly. The shrimp is so plump! I'm curious about the horse mackerel fritter!Chuck eye roll cutlet. Are the fish fritters just a palate cleanser? Haha.Vegetable fritters. The young corn is super sweet and delicious! The sweet potato, on the other hand, was a bit tough??The batter is just so good!Dessert:Yuzu sorbet.I couldn't help but do a fist pump in my heart. This is it! Ending on a refreshing note instead of French toast is great! The takeout sandwiches are still as enticing as ever.It seems a bit challenging to find a day that matches my schedule for reservations, so targeting the course I want to eat has become a bit difficult.
