We chose Otowa Restaurant in Utsunomiya, a place we had always wanted to visit.The spacious atmosphere and the approach to the dining area, along with the high ceilings and bright dining room, heightened our anticipation for the meal to come.It was evident that every table around us shared the same expectations for this restaurant, creating a calm ambiance born from a pleasant tension.Each dish was crafted using local ingredients, striking a perfect balance between beauty and simplicity.Given the level of cuisine, each plate offered small surprises, but the standout was undoubtedly the main dish of lamb.While the lamb from Kitajima-tei achieves its flavor through an extreme use of salt, the lamb here was a masterpiece, perfectly cooked to bring out its full potential.This was undoubtedly the best lamb dish I have ever had.Recently, social media has been flooded with dishes that boast extravagant ingredients, but this restaurant offers a refined experience that stands apart from such vulgar displays.The staff exuded confidence in their service without coming off as pretentious. They were attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable and engaged without any awkwardness.In Utsunomiya, the pride of running a French restaurant with such a dedicated team is commendable.This dining experience provided me with various insights that I hadn't encountered in a while. If you have the chance, or rather, make it a point to visit this grand establishment.
