Arrived on a weekday at 8:15 and got ticket number 7. While waiting in the car, an attendant signaled us to line up at 8:45. I was 15th in line, so I comfortably entered during the first round. While waiting, I was asked for my order, and I chose the cold udon for JPY 500. Once inside, the udon was handed to us in order, and I topped it with green onions, ginger, and either a raw egg or a soft-boiled egg at the condiment station before heading to the register. By the way, there’s also dipping soy sauce available at the dining area, so be careful not to overdo it.On the way to the register, there were freshly fried tempura available, so if you want some, you can add that too. I highly recommend the crab stick tempura! Just a heads up, the register only accepts cash. After paying, I headed across the road to a prefabricated building (with air conditioning!) for eat-in.It was a bit amusing to see strangers who had lined up early in the morning all focused on eating their udon at the same table. The udon had a firm texture yet was easy to bite through, and the smoothness going down was fantastic! I recommend breaking the soft-boiled egg at the end and mixing it in! The line may be long, but the turnover is quick, so definitely give it a try!
