This is an eel restaurant located in Matsumoto, Nagano. I started lining up at 8:30 AM, and they sold out by around 9:15 AM. Even though it was Sunday, that was quite intense. After waiting on tatami mats for another two hours, I finally got my rice bowl. The impact of 1.5 eels was huge! It looked delicious right from the start, and when I finally tasted it, the flavors exploded. The balance of fat and grilling was just right, and the way they steam it in the Kanto style perfectly flaked the meat, leaving the skin with just the right amount of collagen. It was incredibly delicious!
