After enjoying Inaniwa Udon at "Sato Yosuke Akita", I headed to "Sumibi Yakiniku Kyuu". I made a reservation by phone a little over a month ago. After a 5-minute walk south from the west exit of Akita Station, I arrived. The restaurant has 6 counter seats, three 6-person tables, and one 8-person table, and I was guided to the counter. The staff, including the owner, consists of three men and two women, providing attentive service. I had pre-ordered the Permanent Lunch and Horumon Mix. For drinks, I ordered the Homemade Lemon Sour. It was refreshing with just the right amount of sweetness. Soon, the Permanent Lunch arrived. It included four types of tenderloin, outside skirt, liver, and young chicken thigh. I grilled the meat myself. While self-grilling can depend on individual skill, the quality of the meat here shines through regardless. I completely understand why it has such high ratings. It was blissful on rice. Additionally, it came with salad, a small side dish, rice, and soup. Then the Horumon Mix arrived, and it was a festival of horumon. It included five types: liver, abomasum, omasum, mountain chain tripe, and heart. While it was delicious, it didn’t evoke the same excitement as the Permanent Lunch, so if I were to add something to the lunch menu, I might prefer regular cuts of meat. I added a Riku Highball and continued to enjoy my meal. After the meal, I requested the Iced Coffee included in the lunch set, and everything was complete. After about an hour, I settled the bill. JPY 7,250 I paid with a credit card. It was a great meal. I would love to visit this place again when I come back to Akita. Now, I’m heading to check in at the hotel.
