It is about an 8-minute walk from JR Shibuya Station. Opened in 1991, it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The owner is Hiroshi Higuchi, who trained at a traditional ryotei in Akasaka under the influence of his father, who ran a small restaurant. At the age of 21, he took over the family business and opened Sumibi Yaki Yuji, preserving the essence of his father's establishment. His brother, Kazuto Higuchi, runs Kappo Higuchi near Meiji Jingu Mae. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays, and its operating hours are from 4 PM to 11 PM. Reservations can be made by phone only, and credit cards and electronic payments are not accepted. Children are welcome, and while there is no dedicated parking, there are coin parking facilities nearby.
