I recently enjoyed French cuisine alone again, this time at a Michelin two-star restaurant in Roppongi.I was initially amazed by the counter seats that allowed me to see the kitchen in action. The chefs' refined movements and dedication to their craft really whetted my appetite. The service was, of course, impeccable. The dishes featured sweetfish and shiitake mushrooms, with the dessert being the most memorable. The sweetfish was grilled to perfection, with no small bones, and the shiitake mushrooms were so thick and meaty that it felt like I was eating meat—quite a unique sensation. The dessert was a peach extravaganza, with varying levels of sweetness that created a delightful texture.Dining alone at a French restaurant is quite rare, but I definitely plan to return to this place (preferably with someone next time, haha).
