I wanted to try some of the top-rated eel dishes on Tabelog, but it was difficult to make reservations at restaurants in Tokyo. This place is located in Hakone, which makes access a bit challenging, but I managed to get in without a reservation just before 11 AM on a weekday.I ordered the Unaju (grilled eel over rice) and abalone.The Unaju was incredibly fluffy and rich in flavor. The sauce was perfectly balanced, not too strong. This is the best eel I've ever had.The abalone was also fresh, bursting with umami in my mouth. Absolutely fantastic.
