I finally visited Tempura Kondo, a place I had been curious about for a long time, even buying a cookbook! I made a reservation for lunch. Although I couldn't book through Tabelog due to full seating, I was able to easily secure a reservation by calling the restaurant directly! I was seated at the counter, where several guests were enjoying their tempura alone.◯ Lunch - Tsubaki (JPY 16,500) A variety of seafood and seasonal vegetables kept coming out! The tempura was perfectly crispy with a light batter, and I couldn't stop eating. The scallop was my favorite; it was rare and rich, enjoyed with wasabi and salt, and I was truly impressed by its deliciousness!◯ Sweet Potato (probably JPY 1,800) This is one of Kondo's signature dishes. It’s not included in the course, so be sure to order it first as it takes time to cook the large sweet potato! The taste was fluffy and sweet. It was quite large, but I finished it in no time!◯ Oolong Tea (around JPY 1,000)
