Course: JPY 26,000Additional: Kanpyo RollBeer x1Japanese sake x3Total: JPY 29,000Located a 7-minute walk from Tohoku-zawa Station, this sushi restaurant is situated in the basement of a building. I was invited by a regular customer for my first visit. Before the nigiri, we enjoyed 8 dishes:"Ankimo" (Monkfish Liver)A specialty of Nishizaki. It was soft and melted in the mouth. The seasoning was subtle but delicious."Unagi no Shiro-ni" (Sweet Boiled Eel)This dish was lightly grilled after being sweetly boiled. It was fragrant and tender. The nigiri started with "Kasugo no Kombu-jime" (Young Sea Bream marinated in Kombu) and included 13 pieces in total. Notable mentions were "Aori Ika" (Bigfin Reef Squid) and "Mehikari" (Shiny Fish)."Aori Ika"This piece featured extremely thinly sliced squid layered together. It had a strong sweetness and a unique texture."Mehikari"A rather rare ingredient for nigiri. It had a good amount of fat and melted in the mouth. The marinated fish like Kohada and Kisu were perfectly seasoned, and the pairing with the rice was superb. While there were no flashy presentations, the meticulous craftsmanship was evident. The appetizers were also delicious, and the cost-performance was excellent. It was a great meal.Course Menu:● Young Sweetfish in Arima-style● Mozuku Vinegar with Junsai● Sardine, Matsukawa Flounder, Octopus● Black Clam● Edamame and Sea Urchin Steamed Dish● Aburi (Seared) Ebodai● Ankimo● Unagi no Shiro-ni◯ Kasugo no Kombu-jime◯ Kisu no Su-jime◯ Aori Ika◯ Mehikari◯ Kohada◯ Hon-Ara no Kombu-jime◯ Marinated Red Meat◯ Katsuo◯ Chutoro◯ Botan Ebi◯ Akauuni◯ Anago● Miso Soup◯ Tamago (Egg)Additional:◯ Kanpyo Roll
