I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a long time. I heard that from June, Mr. Taniguchi moved to a new location, and now the first female apprentice has taken over as the chef! As a result, the price has dropped to around JPY 3,300, and it seems easier to make reservations now. However, I have a feeling that it will soon become hard to book a table because the food was so delicious!I visited alone on a weekday at 8:30 PM. The restaurant has only an L-shaped counter seating. They offer only a course menu for JPY 13,200, and I also purchased the chicken rice take away for JPY 1,500.Here’s what was included in the course:- Chicken consomme soup- Sliced chicken breast sashimi- Sliced liver, gizzard, and heart- Chicken breast- Chicken thigh- Grated daikon radish (refills available)- Tsukune (chicken meatballs)- Upper thigh- Mie Prefecture's "Hare no Hi" tomatoes- Negima (chicken and green onion skewers)- Chicken wings- Lightly pickled cucumber and myoga (refills available)- Freshly fried thick tofu- Liver pate- Chicken gizzards- Mushrooms- Sorires (chicken tail)- Chicken rice and chicken soupOverall, everything was delicious, but the fat stood out as particularly tasty. The way the fat was prepared made the yakitori exceptional. It was rich yet refined, without being overwhelming. The two palate cleansers served during the meal reset my taste buds, and I appreciated that both could be refilled. The chicken thigh was especially fatty but juicy and incredibly delicious! At the end of the skewers, you can order additional skewers if you wish. There were a few types of skewers that were served on the day and some that were not. This has become a yakitori restaurant I definitely want to visit again!
