I called in advance to reserve eel and visited on Saturday morning to register.08:20 Registration: 4 groups ahead of me, secured the 5th spot.10:00 Opening: By this time, there was already a 1-hour wait.Visitation Advice:If you want to ensure you’re in the first round, arriving early in the morning is best. However, considering the turnover and wait times, I found that registering around 09:00 is the most efficient.Order Menu:Unaju: JPY 8,000Liver (Salt & Wasabi): JPY 900*Free large rice serving and refills available.Food & Taste Review:◆ Unaju (JPY 8,000)The moment it touched my tongue, I was astonished. I experienced the true meaning of "fluffy eel" for the first time. The thickness, tenderness, and richness of the eel were on a completely different level from any I had eaten before. The sauce was not overly thick but had a refined, light flavor. The overwhelming umami of the eel itself made it clear that there was no need to mask it with a heavy sauce. The eel was so large that the free large serving was a must. I was completely satisfied and finished every bite along with the rice soaked in the sauce.◆ Liver Salt (JPY 900)The freshness was outstanding, as it was freshly sliced. There was no unpleasant odor, and when enjoyed with the accompanying wasabi and salt, the rich umami of the liver spread directly across my palate. This is definitely a must-order item.Overall Evaluation:As rumored, this is a renowned establishment. I can confidently say that the quality of the natural blue eel, the service, and the portion size all provided a "once-in-a-lifetime" level of satisfaction. The price is steep, but it undoubtedly offers value beyond its cost. Once you discover this place, you won’t be satisfied with other restaurants at this level.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was a great meal!
