Finally, I made my long-awaited visit to Sanwa. The course menu has a set selection for the first half, while you can choose your favorite meat dish and pasta for the main course. Although companions must select the same dishes, you can add different options if you want to try something else. For the meat dish, I chose the "Hōrōdori" (bamboo chicken). This was one of the most memorable Hōrōdori dishes I've ever had. It was astonishingly juicy, with rich flavors and a delightful aroma that intensified with every bite. I was left wondering how they managed to make it so moist and delicious.I tried two types of pasta. First was the classic "Hasegawa Mushroom." The seasoning was simple, yet the elegant aroma of the mushrooms was prominent, perfectly complementing the rich sauce. The second was "Ika Zanmai" (squid extravaganza). This dish allowed me to fully enjoy the sweetness of the squid and the umami of the seafood, with a hint of spiciness adding a nice touch. I really liked this one as well. What impressed me the most this time was the risotto. Despite its simple ingredients, it maximized the umami flavor and kept my appetite stimulated until the end—truly exquisite. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to visit again, but I want to cherish the wonderful meal I had this time.
