The best udon shop in Japan! I've wanted to visit this place for a long time.I left Matsuyama at 5:00 AM and arrived around 6:40 AM, thinking I might be the first in line, but surprisingly, I was fifth! There were some serious fans ahead of me. I took a numbered ticket and parked my car in the lot in front of the shop. Since it was hot, I waited in the car. At 8:45 AM, they started lining us up by number, so I got in line at 8:40 AM. The staff asked if I wanted cold or hot, and what size, so I ordered cold and large.As soon as the shop opened at 9:00 AM, I entered and was handed a bowl of udon with the order "Cold, large." I topped it with green onions, ginger, and dipping sauce, added some chicken tempura from the shop next door, and paid at the register. Then, I enjoyed my meal in a cool little hut across from the shop.As expected from the best udon in Japan, the noodles had great texture and were incredibly delicious. I found that using just the right amount of dipping sauce allowed me to fully enjoy the original flavor of the udon, which was fantastic. It was so good that I finished it in no time. I thought the large size, which comes with two servings, might be too much, but I devoured it all.Being the best in Japan and a Saturday, there was an enormous line in front of the shop.It was absolutely delicious.Thank you for the great meal!
