I visited the famous Teuchi Soba Jiyu San for the first time, a place I had been curious about for a while.After a short walk from Higashi-Nagasaki Station, I arrived around 1:30 PM on a Saturday with a friend. Since it was a bit late, we were fortunate to be seated without any wait.We ordered the seiro soba, inaka soba, and soba with tororo.The soba with tororo had an interesting texture from the buckwheat groats, and the tororo provided a delightful combination of smooth and crunchy textures. The seasoning was delicious, allowing us to enjoy a variety of sensations.The soba was quite thin but had a nice chewiness and great flavor, making it very enjoyable. The dipping sauce was also tasty, clearly showing the care put into every dish.Although we ordered a smaller portion this time, I look forward to trying the two-plate serving or a course next time. I believe everything on the appetizer menu would be delicious, so I’m eager to sample more dishes.
