I visited around 11:15 on a Saturday and found a few people waiting for the opening. Since I was alone, I was able to get in during the first round.I ordered the coarsely ground soba and a tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette). The staff suggested that if the timing was right, I could get a half portion of the tamagoyaki, so I had it halved. I think they did this because there was another solo diner as well. I was grateful for this since the regular size is about two servings.The soba arrived about 10 minutes after I ordered. The portion was on the smaller side, so I savored each bite. I changed the flavor with the green onions and wasabi, and it was so delicious that it disappeared in no time. After adding the soba-yu (noodle water) and some shichimi (seven spice), it became a drinkable delight.The tamagoyaki arrived about 20 minutes later. It was hot and fluffy, delicious on its own, but paired with the grated daikon and soy sauce, it was even better.This place is more about savoring the soba than just filling up.
