In my profile, I’ve compiled a list of restaurants and dessert shops that I wholeheartedly recommend based on their taste, atmosphere, and the personalities of the staff. Feel free to use it as a reference.--------------------------------I visited on a Friday around 5 PM and found about five people in line, which grew to around fifteen by opening time. The clientele was quite diverse, ranging from young people to seniors, creating a warm atmosphere that seems to be loved by the locals. Surprisingly, there are quite a few seats, so it might be worth trying to go even after opening. For my order, I had a beer and chose the meat sashimi as the chef's selection, along with some additional items:- Kappa (cucumber)- Cold soup with beef and tororo (grated yam)- Tongue sashimi- Heart sashimi- Lean meat sashimi- Blanched tripe- Steamed garlic- SaladAfter that, I added:- Roast beef with sprouts- Grilled outside skirt with sauce- Grilled liver with sauce- Stewed meat with potatoesEverything was incredibly delicious, and the sashimi was exceptionally good! The freshness was outstanding, the seasoning was simple yet effective, and the textures were all great. The blanched tripe was particularly tasty. The grilled items were also exquisite; the liver was prepared fresh upon order, starting from skinning it, showcasing its remarkable freshness. It was beautifully marbled and clearly of high quality. The stew was incredibly flavorful, with the tender meat being absolutely delicious! I was quite full, so I only had potatoes as the other ingredient, but next time I want to come with a big appetite and order eggs and konjac as well. The only thing I didn’t particularly enjoy was the steamed garlic, so I’ll skip that next time. The atmosphere and service truly embodied Kyoto, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience after a long time. It’s a wonderful place, and I will definitely return.
