I visited Kizaki, located on the 5th floor of a building near Akasaka Station, for the first time. For lunch, I had the nigiri course, which started with hand rolls and included a total of 12 dishes plus miso soup. I was told that the red vinegar used for the sushi had a slightly stronger acidity since it’s summer, and every piece was exquisite. What stood out to me were the "Kasugo" and "Sagochi." Both were my first time trying them, and they were incredibly tender with a light, delicious fat.Additionally, the soft cartilage in the fried squid and the sweet, well-simmered anago (conger eel) were meticulously prepared, leaving me truly impressed. That day, the Japanese sake was "Yokoyama" from Nagasaki. It was also my first time tasting it, and its crisp flavor paired perfectly with the sushi.I had a wonderful time enjoying delicious sushi and sake.
