Udon (Cold, Large) - JPY 500Raw Egg - JPY 60Chikuwa Tempura - JPY 65Crab Stick Tempura - JPY 180*Prices have increased from those listed on Tabelog.I arrived at 8:30 AM before opening on a weekday. An elderly man wearing a Mario hat handed me a numbered ticket, and I was able to wait in the cool indoor area until my turn. The menu is very simple; you only choose between cold/warm and small/large, and the udon is served without broth, to be enjoyed with a dipping sauce made from dashi soy sauce.Toppings include free condiments, as well as raw eggs, onsen eggs, and 6-7 types of tempura. The udon had a strong chewiness, which I personally liked, but I found the dashi soy sauce to be a bit on the lighter side. There was Ajinomoto (umami seasoning) available with the condiments, so I recommend adding some if you prefer a stronger flavor. While I thought the udon was delicious, I was slightly puzzled as to why this place is so popular, considering its location isn't the most convenient.
