I finally had the chance to visit Unagi Tei Tomoe during a weekday lunch break. I called from Kazamatsuri Station and was informed there would be a 40-minute wait. I requested a reservation for one Unaju (grilled eel over rice) and walked to the restaurant.Upon arrival, I checked in and placed my order for the Unaju (large size). They mentioned it would also take about 40 minutes to be seated, so I decided to wait on a bench outside. After about 30 minutes, I received a call letting me know I could enter. Once inside, I was seated at a beautiful counter. First, I was served some pickles and a liver soup, and shortly after, my Unaju arrived. As mentioned in other reviews, the eel was large and thick, yet the meat was fluffy and the skin was melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was an incredibly delicious Unaju. On weekends, it's essential to make a reservation for the eel in advance, and the wait times seem to be quite long, so it's not a place I can visit frequently. However, I would definitely like to return if I find myself in Odawara again.Unaju (large size) JPY 8,000, tax included.
