On the second day of my Shikoku trip, I left Dogo Onsen at 6 AM and arrived at Suzaki Shokuryohin Ten in Mitoyo City at 8:10 AM. I received ticket number 12. A friendly man in a Mario hat kindly explained various things to me. I bought some souvenirs before the opening.I started lining up at 8:45, and with the help of the Mario hat man, I placed my order, which was served at 9:00.I ordered:Cold Udon (Small) - JPY 350Hot Udon (Small) - JPY 350The system is to take tempura and other items inside and pay at the register.Croquette - JPY 100Onsen Tamago (Hot Spring Egg) - JPY 100Raw Egg - JPY 70, etc.The udon was perfectly chewy and served at its best. There’s no doubt it’s the best udon in Japan. I only added soy sauce. With just soy sauce, green onions, and ginger, there’s no room for deception. Personally, I prefer the hot version—it allows me to truly appreciate the greatness of this udon. This is definitely a place I want to visit again.
