Since its opening, it has rapidly gained acclaim, now ranking at the top of the tonkatsu category nationwide. It has been selected as one of the top 100 tonkatsu restaurants in 2026 and has also earned a Tabelog Silver award in the same year.Reservations can be made online through the Omakase site, with bookings opening on the 1st of each month for two months in advance. The restaurant features only four premium seats for both lunch and dinner. According to the owner, serving tonkatsu at its best is limited to four guests at a time, reflecting a strong commitment to providing personalized attention to each customer.Here’s what I enjoyed during my visit:-----------------------------◾️ Tenderloin The tonkatsu made from Iwacho pork tenderloin is beautifully cooked to a uniform rare color. The moment you take a bite, the panko crust crumbles and melts in your mouth, releasing a gentle sweetness that is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before.The rich umami of the Iwacho pork is outstanding, and the tender texture is perfect. It’s delicious on its own, but pairing it with salt, wasabi soy sauce, lemon, or sauce enhances the experience even further!◾️ Loin Typically, each person orders one cut, but it’s also possible to share different cuts with companions. Wrapped in the same astonishing crust as the tenderloin, this is the TOKYO-X loin cut.While rich, it’s not overwhelming, allowing you to enjoy the clean flavor of the fat that’s unique to TOKYO-X. It pairs excellently with the fluffy, moist silver rice.
