Located just a 3-5 minute walk from Roppongi Station, YAKITORI Moe es is a yakitori restaurant featuring a spacious layout with a 12-seat counter surrounding the grill and a private room with 4 seats. It has been recognized as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in the East from 2022 to 2025 and has also been awarded the Tabelog Bronze in 2025 and 2026.Reservations can be made online through the Omakase site, and it’s relatively easy to secure a table for the following month, which is a nice perk. If you book for 8:40 PM, you can enjoy a reasonably priced course focused on skewers. Here’s what I had during my visit:-----------------------------◾️ Amuse-Bouche We started with a delightful amuse-bouche featuring chicken rillettes paired with crackers and a chilled pumpkin soup. The gentle sweetness of the soup was soothing and comforting.◾️ Chicken Crepe This dish consisted of chicken wrapped in crepe, loaded with vegetables for a satisfying bite. The dish had an ethnic aroma, and the spices really whetted the appetite.◾️ Chicken Breast The yakitori menu began with tender chicken breast skewers. The sharp aroma of wasabi highlighted the umami of the slightly rare chicken.◾️ Neck Meat Beautifully skewered neck meat with a generous portion. The unique texture and rich flavor of the neck meat were irresistible.◾️ Bonjiri Using the rare Hōrō chicken, this bonjiri had a delightful, bouncy texture. Hōrō chicken is often referred to as the queen of poultry, and it’s a treat to find it at a yakitori restaurant in Tokyo.◾️ Zucchini Hot and fluffy zucchini, perfectly cooked to retain its natural sweetness, was delicious!◾️ Tsukune The tsukune was moist and tender, melting in the mouth and releasing a burst of meat flavor.◾️ Liver Pâté This appetizer featured liver pâté topped with red apple on homemade brioche. The sweetness of the brioche and the richness of the pâté created a perfect balance.◾️ Chicken Tataki Using Miyazaki's Oshioka chicken, this tataki featured both thigh and breast meat. Oshioka chicken is popular among famous yakitori restaurants in Fukuoka and Kansai, known for its robust flavor and juicy fat.◾️ Gizzard The gizzard was made from Hokkaido Shintoku chicken. The variety of chicken dishes is one of the charms of YAKITORI Moe es.◾️ Red Eggplant Thickly sliced red eggplant was cooked at a high temperature, delivering a perfect sear that rivaled the zucchini.◾️ Liver Rich and creamy, the liver had almost no unpleasant odor. The seasoning was just right, making it a perfect match for drinks.◾️ Shiitake The shiitake mushrooms were dehydrated to concentrate their umami. Their unique texture and the flavor that burst with each bite were outstanding.◾️ Walnut Negima The final skewer was a walnut negima, with green onions wrapped in chicken. The crispy skin and the combined flavors of chicken and sweet green onions made for an exceptional skewer.◾️ Chicken Soba A simple chicken soba featuring gentle chicken broth and smooth noodles. Even when full, it was easy to enjoy, and the beautiful presentation was eye-catching.◾️ Dessert The course concluded with a special pudding made from Oita's Ran-Oh, offering a rich sweetness.-----------------------------The prices are reasonable, and the balance between the cost and the quality of the dishes is excellent, making this yakitori restaurant a must-visit.Thank you for the meal!*Instagram Gourmet Account https://www.instagram.com/shunsuke.naka/ (Over 10,000 followers!)*Gourmet Blog https://syn-gourmet.com*Comprehensive Links https://lit.link/syngourmet
