I visited a renowned restaurant in Akasaka, recommended by a gourmet acquaintance. Upon entering through the lattice door, I found an 8-seat counter. The atmosphere was serene, bright, and impeccably clean. While enjoying a beer, I started with some appetizers, followed by hand rolls, and then nigiri. The rice, seasoned with red vinegar, was slightly firm and to my liking. Every piece of nigiri was delicious, but that day, the Sagochi had a refreshing and refined fat that was particularly delightful.I opted for the Omakase and enjoyed a variety of dishes, followed by some rolls and a few additional pieces of nigiri. I believe I had quite a bit of sushi and sake. The chef engaged in pleasant conversation at just the right pace, allowing us to enjoy the delicious sushi in a relaxed manner. Perhaps it was the chef's personality, but all the customers were quite gentlemanly. The distance between guests was just right, making the cozy space feel comfortable. I would love to come back again.
