On the last day of our 2-night trip to Hokkaido, we made a reservation at this French restaurant for lunch. We drove there, and the location was perfect. The building, featuring a striking Hakodate Blue door and predominantly white design, was impressive. The interior, with its Saarinen tulip chairs and Wegner Y chairs, had a lovely Scandinavian touch that I really liked. The service was outstanding, providing a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a French gin and a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, both of which were fantastic. The gin had a floral note, while the sparkling wine had a surprising autumn flavor reminiscent of sweet potatoes! A great restaurant knows how to elevate your spirits right from the start. I won't go into too much detail about the dishes, so please refer to the photos! Starting with sweet shrimp, followed by pumpkin soup, flounder, the main chicken dish, and dessert, everything was simply perfect. I drove for about 4 hours from Hakodate to New Chitose Airport, but my wife and I spent half the time talking about how delicious the food was—what an experience! I’ve fallen in love with Hakodate and will definitely come back, without a doubt! Next time, for dinner!
