On my solo trip at the age of 50, I made a reservation for my first dinner on the first day at Sumibi Yakiniku Kyuu, which I hadn't visited in three years. Surprisingly, there were quite a few other solo male diners as well—two others besides myself. For drinks, I started with beer and fresh sake, trying Hiraiizumi and Ippaku Suisei, and finished with some makgeolli. For the meal, I had kimchi, namul, and tongue to start, followed by outside skirt, mixed horumon, and a small cold noodle. I also tried honeycomb tripe for the first time.To be honest, while the meat was delicious, I still question the high ratings on Tabelog from my previous visit. However, the service and prices were absolutely top-notch!
