I visited for the first time after seeing it listed in the Michelin Guide and with high ratings on Tabelog. I chose the most affordable course, the "Earth Course" for JPY 13,800 (service charge not included).I made a reservation for 6 PM on a weekday, and the restaurant is divided into three areas: the second floor, basement level 1, and an annex. Despite the heavy rain, the annex quickly filled up.The owner-chef personally came to greet us, saying to enjoy our meal. The main dish was a choose-your-own-style, and I ordered the Ezo venison (additional charge), which the chef himself hunted. We started with the specialty, a blood macaron made with venison blood and filled with boudin noir. It was more than just a macaron; the rich flavor of the boudin noir was prominent, raising my expectations from the very first dish.Following that were beautifully presented and intricate dishes. The bonito with green sauce, game pâté en croûte, and sweetfish wrapped in pastry were particularly delicious. The main Ezo venison was tender and paired perfectly with a rich sauce, without any gamey taste. We drank quite a bit, but the total bill for two came to just under JPY 60,000. I thought it was a bit more than I expected (laughs), but even the JPY 13,800 course was substantial and satisfying, so I understand the high ratings. With a concept centered around natural droplets, this French restaurant makes abundant use of game, and I personally think it’s a great place. The staff's service was also excellent. It was a great meal!
