Dining at a great local restaurant begins long before the meal itself. As I took the Kintetsu train from Nagoya and Osaka towards Ise City, the rural landscape gradually unfolded before me. I found myself immersed in a different world, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. After about a 10-minute walk through a residential area in Ise City, I arrived at a district that retains its traditional charm, and my excitement as a diner began to build. On this day, the kiss (a type of fish) was exceptional. I believe it’s among the best in the country. Moreover, the service was outstanding. I am a fan of the owner of Komada. I have no doubt that this place will continue to be a renowned establishment for years to come. It was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
