(You cannot reserve a table; you must register upon arrival.)Even if the popular side dish "freshly prepared liver" is already fully booked, you can often order it on the day by being on the cancellation waitlist.On Monday, August 10, 2026, during the Obon holiday, it was still a weekday.I arrived around 7:40 AM. There was already one group of two registered on the sign-in sheet at the restaurant entrance. I registered as the second group.By registering, I was informed that the restaurant would call me around 9 AM (as shown in the photo), and until then, I was free to do as I pleased.On the day, I received a call at 8:55 AM, where I ordered the eel rice bowl I had reserved and the liver I was on the waitlist for.I was told to arrive around 9:55 AM.Until that time, I was free to explore.I spent some time at the nearby Suzuhiro Museum, which opens at 9 AM.At 9:55 AM, I was called at the entrance and shown to my table.If you don’t order any drinks, they will provide hot tea and leave a teapot for refills.The service and thoughtfulness of the staff were truly exceptional.Now, the eel at this restaurant is of the fluffy and tender variety.Personally, I preferred the crispy grilled style from Nagoya, but this fluffy and tender eel has broadened my appreciation for eel!The freshly prepared liver, with its exquisite flavor combined with the egg yolk, was simply irresistible.It was a great meal!
