I have long dreamed of dining at Gastronomy Joel Robuchon, Japan's premier French restaurant, and finally had the chance to go for my 63rd birthday. The experience was truly exceptional, surpassing all expectations. The dishes were relatively light yet deeply flavorful, and the 14 courses, along with three types of cheese and a dessert cart, were perfectly designed to delight the palate. The service was also top-notch. The table setting and all the decor were exquisite.Of course, great wine and wonderful company are essential. We enjoyed Taittinger Champagne, a white from Pouilly-Montrachet, and a fantastic red, Chambolle-Musigny by the glass. It was the best birthday celebration ever. I sincerely thank my companions and the entire team at Robuchon.
