After visiting over 15 high-end French restaurants, the day finally arrived for me to dine at Joel Robuchon. This was my third Michelin three-star experience. The exterior of the building is impressive, but the interior, adorned in black and champagne gold, is truly luxurious—a fitting stage for a grand maison. The dishes were intricate and delicious, with impressive presentations that matched the opulence of the setting. The standout dish for me was the surf clam with beurre blanc sauce, cooked to perfection. The signature dish of crab and caviar in the Joel Robuchon style made a strong initial impression, but the flavor was within my expectations. I think once was enough for that.I was very satisfied with the portion sizes. This was the fullest I’ve ever felt after a meal at any restaurant. Each dish was generously portioned, and with the variety of breads available, I found myself completely full before dessert. The dessert selection was also quite extensive, so it’s wise to save some room.I enjoyed a lovely botrytis wine with the cheese course. It seems that this restaurant can offer high-quality wines that are typically not served by the glass at regular establishments. This is one of the perks of dining at a grand maison. The service was more casual than I expected, but it was attentive and aimed at easing any tension. While the staff was friendly, they also kept track of the time, asking if I was okay with my departure time when I glanced at my watch, showing they were aware of the guests' situations. This is a place where you can truly savor a sense of specialness. I believe it’s an ideal spot to visit with a loved one on a special occasion.Lastly, although it’s unrelated to the meal, I did notice some stains (fading?) on the exterior walls of the building that caught my attention.
