Just a 2-3 minute walk from the east exit of Chino Station, this restaurant is located in a small dining area with a grand entrance and an elegant traditional Japanese house. The interior features a chic and sophisticated one-line counter seating. The owner, who appears to be quiet and earnest, serves the dishes alone. On this day, I was the only customer. The restaurant offers Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients from the Yatsugatake area, including wild vegetables, Shinshu beef, and soft-shelled turtle, all prepared with exceptional skill. The alcohol-free tasting course is particularly exquisite.
