I visited Sanwa for the first time in a while!I started with a draft beer and then had two glasses of wine, which were chosen by the staff.We enjoyed olives and sun-dried tomatoes,mozzarella cheese mousse with Miyazaki mango,prosciutto with gnocchi fritto,a soup made from freshly harvested corn from Chiba,a cold pasta with hairy crab and sea urchin,fried ribbonfish,green asparagus and parmesan risotto,granita,charcoal-grilled seasonal vegetables,and charcoal-grilled meat—specifically, the tender chicken from Ishiguro in Iwate.We also had spaghetti with mushrooms from Hasegawa,and spaghetti with clams and zucchini.For dessert, we had milky ice cream and marinated pineapple,and finished with chamomile tea.We could choose our main meat and pasta, and I decided to add an extra pasta dish.Every dish was delicious! The highlight of the day was definitely the green asparagus and parmesan risotto—it paired perfectly with the white wine and was absolutely delightful!I heard that reservations are fully booked for the rest of the year, so I hope to visit again next year.
