I made a reservation for 3 PM on Saturday and visited this restaurant for the first time in six months.This time, I enjoyed some natural eel after a long while. They had large ones from Miyazaki Prefecture, and I compared them with farmed eel. For sake, I chose a handwritten label from my usual Sakadoan, along with flavorful sake that pairs well with eel.- Miso Eggplant: A refreshing and delicious miso with a slight tang.- Tofu: Rich soy flavor, served with a touch of seaweed salt.- Head Skewers: Served with Kanto-style sauce and Kansai-style salt.- Grilled Fin Skewers x2: Rich and tender fat.- Grilled Skewers: Delicious grilled meat with salt.- Grilled Liver: Slightly bitter and pairs well with sake.- Heart: Good for the eyes, easy to swallow, a sign of freshness.- Grilled Eel Skewers: Crispy skin and deliciously grilled.- Liver: Rich and flavorful.- Tail Meat Skewers: Crispy on the outside, with good fat content.- Nukazuke: Pickled cucumber, fresh konjac, asparagus, bitter melon, and carrot (forgot to take a photo).- White Grilled Eel: Comparison between natural and farmed from Miyazaki Prefecture.- Grilled Eel: Comparison between natural and farmed from Miyazaki Prefecture. → The natural eel had a mild flavor and less fat compared to the farmed, but it was fragrant and delicious. The farmed eel was rich in fat and also very tasty. The spicy sansho pepper was a great addition.- Large Rice Bowl: Choose from large, medium, or small sizes. → I topped it with the remaining sauce for a delicious eel rice bowl.- Liver Soup: Rich flavor from freshly shaved bonito flakes.- Draft Beer: Tokyo Craft.- Sake: By the glass. - Yamagata Prefecture: Ichihanhon Junmai Ginjo Genshu. - Tochigi Prefecture: Gohō Shibori Junmai Ginjo. - Fukushima Prefecture: Naramon Junmai Nama Chozō. - Nagano Prefecture: Yūki Junmai Ginjo Muroka Nama Genshu. - Shimane Prefecture: Hotaru Junmai Ginjo.The total cost was approximately JPY 27,000 per person.I will definitely come back.It was a great meal!
