I visited around 10:30 on a weekend. There were about 30 people already waiting outside, seated on chairs lined up in front of the restaurant. After a while, the owner came out and, although the restaurant was scheduled to open at 11:00, they kindly opened at 10:30. I was seated by 11:30, just in time for the second round.What I ordered:Newly Caught Unagi Jyu - JPY 6600When I opened the elegant black lacquered box, I was greeted by a beautiful arrangement of unagi that completely covered the rice. It also came with pickles.The carefully deboned unagi was incredibly tender, crumbling in my mouth with a fluffy texture that was simply delightful. The rice was perfectly cooked, glossy, and soaked in the sauce, making it absolutely delicious. The unagi was cut into bite-sized pieces, making it easy to scoop up with chopsticks along with the rice.The staff were attentive, refilling my tea and providing thoughtful service, which made for a wonderful experience.The unagi was truly delicious.It was a great meal.
