"Ji-Cube" is a Sichuan restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Roppongi Station in Minato, Tokyo, and has been selected as a "SILVER" restaurant on Tabelog and one of the "Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in Tokyo."Every dish was delicious, and the service was very pleasant. The prices were reasonable, making it a place I truly enjoyed! About a month ago, I made a reservation for the "Specialty Course" (JPY 16,500) through TableCheck for a public holiday at 6 PM.The restaurant is situated in a quiet residential area in a standalone house. I arrived quite early at 5:40 PM, but they kindly let me in. The hospitality was outstanding. The first floor features an L-shaped counter with 8 seats, while the second floor has private rooms. The entrances are separate; the first floor entrance is at the back of the property, and the second floor entrance is immediately to the right upon entering the premises.Course Menu:- Chicken and Herb Salad- Shrimp with Young Ginger in Chili Sauce- Beef Tendon in Spicy Sauce- Black Pepper Chashu- Hot and Sour Soup- Blanched Shellfish with Scallion Sauce- Wagyu Beef Stir-fried with Bell Peppers- Spicy Stir-fried Chicken- Steamed Fish- Soy Sauce Fried Rice- Chilled Tan Tan Noodles- Peach Jasmine Milk TeaWe started with the Chicken and Herb Salad. The steamed chicken was generously topped with herbs, making it refreshing—perfect for a hot day.Next was the Shrimp with Young Ginger in Chili Sauce, which combined the refreshing taste of young ginger with a nice kick from the chili. The shrimp was plump and delicious. The Beef Tendon in Spicy Sauce brought a rich flavor, transitioning from the lightness of the chicken and herbs to the refreshing spiciness of the shrimp and ginger, and finally to the robust spiciness of the beef tendon. Each dish varied in flavor, gradually increasing in spiciness and richness, which really whetted my appetite. The Black Pepper Chashu was made with Kato Pork. It had a strong flavor and a good amount of fat, with a solid black pepper kick. The grilled young corn was also fragrant and tasty. The Hot and Sour Soup contained tomato jelly and egg. It was quite spicy but also rich in flavor. I couldn't stop drinking it—it was too delicious to leave behind! The Blanched Shellfish with Scallion Sauce had a delightful crunch from the shellfish and a hint of yuzu fragrance. After the rich dishes, this refreshing taste was a welcome change. Then came the Wagyu Beef Stir-fried with Bell Peppers, which was exquisite. The Wagyu was incredibly tender, bursting with flavor with each bite, and paired perfectly with the slight bitterness of the bell peppers. This was my favorite dish of the evening! The Spicy Stir-fried Chicken was also great. The skin was crispy, while the inside remained juicy. The moderate spiciness allowed the deliciousness of the chicken to shine through. The steamed fish and soy sauce fried rice were both delicious, and I even finished the chilled Tan Tan noodles, drinking every last drop of the soup. I had eaten plenty, but it was so good that I couldn't resist finishing it all. Finally, we had the Peach Jasmine Milk Tea, which was a refreshing end with the sweetness of peach and the fragrance of jasmine. Not only were the dishes delicious, but the service was also excellent, allowing for a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Plus, there was no additional service charge. Simply wonderful!I can't wait to come back again. It was a fantastic restaurant! It was a great meal!
