Finally, I got to visit Sugita! A friend managed to snag a cancellation for an omakase lunch.Since they were closed for dinner, we enjoyed about 3 servings of Japanese sake during lunch.The pairing of anglerfish with the sweet sake was absolutely delicious, but since we were in a private room, I forgot to ask about some details.The anticipation gradually built up from the appetizers to the sushi.We started with Mega-i from Aomori, then squid with ginger soy sauce, tender boiled octopus with mustard that complemented the richness of the anglerfish, and the sweet sake followed suit...Next, the grilled knife fish was exquisite!!!I was asked if we wanted more appetizers, but since it was my first visit, we moved on to the sushi. Next time, I definitely want to savor those amazing appetizers even more!I particularly loved the sushi, especially the light fish varieties. We had horse mackerel, spring sea bream, the specialty kohada, sea urchin, and eel. ❤️It was a great meal! I look forward to my next visit!
