I enjoyed an unagi rice bowl at Unagi no Matsu Ka in Matsumoto City. Despite opening at 11 AM, they often sell out by 10 AM, which speaks to their popularity. The charming atmosphere of this historic house adds to the experience. The unagi was prepared in the Kanto style, with a crispy, fragrant exterior and a thick, tender interior—perfectly grilled. A whole eel was generously placed on a bed of rice, and savoring the unagi with the rice was pure bliss! It was a great meal!
