The second stop on my udon tour was Suzaki Shokuryohin Ten. As expected for the first day of a three-day weekend, the parking lot was full, but I followed the parking attendant's instructions and parked in a line on the street. We waited about 30 minutes in the shade. I ordered two small cold udon bowls. Upon entering the restaurant, I picked up a bowl, added green onions and ginger, drizzled some soy sauce, and then grabbed some tempura before lining up at the register. Being a grocery store, it felt like a small supermarket. The eat-in area is across the street from the restaurant. As I took my first bite of the noodles, I was amazed by their incredible firmness and the rich flavor of the wheat. The croquettes were freshly fried and absolutely delicious. This place is truly at the top of the udon game. I think it’s incredible to enjoy such expertly crafted udon at this price. It's a shame they only offer soy sauce udon, but this place truly excels in udon. I definitely want to come back!
