Before 11 AM on Friday, we had a reservation for 7 people. This is the third day of our trip to Saga.We drove from Saga to get here! It’s been a while since I last visited Robatayaki Sanroku. This time, I made a reservation a month in advance and arrived before 11 AM, going straight in. Perhaps due to the impact of the earthquake, it seems much less crowded compared to before. We sat around the irori (traditional Japanese hearth) and grilled the chicken ourselves. We ordered a variety of dishes this time. Here’s what we had:⚫︎ Sanroku Salt-Grilled Chicken The skin was perfectly crispy, and the meat was incredibly tender with a rich chicken flavor! This is definitely a must-order.⚫︎ Skin with Sauce This is completely different from the chicken skin you find in the Kanto region. The sauce pairs perfectly with the beautifully grilled skin. You absolutely have to try this.⚫︎ Heart Salt-Grilled With a bouncy texture, the moment you bite into it, the juices burst out. This juiciness is irresistible.⚫︎ Liver Grilled This is another dish I highly recommend ordering. It’s completely different from the liver you usually eat, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavor that is fantastic!⚫︎ Gizzard Grilled (Salt) Personally, I often enjoy gizzards as a snack with drinks, but the gizzards here have a completely different texture. They have a delightful crunch while still being juicy. I was pleasantly surprised.⚫︎ Sanroku Grilled with Sauce Last time I recommended the salt-grilled version, but this time I was amazed by the grilled with sauce. The quality of the ingredients really shines through, and I highly recommend it!⚫︎ Bonjiri and Seseri Both are delicious, but I particularly prefer the bonjiri. The flavor of the fat is outstanding.⚫︎ Premium Shiitake Mushrooms I recommend these when you want a little accent. Sprinkle a bit of salt and grill them, and they become incredibly juicy.⚫︎ Sato no Kuro on the Rocks Chicken and Imo Shochu really go well together. This time, I ended up drinking continuously! As I mentioned last time, it’s nice that ordering on the rocks is more economical than with soda.It was a great meal! This restaurant changes the concept of chicken. After trying it again, I can confirm it’s still delicious. It’s a place I want to visit regularly. I’ll definitely be back!
