I visited around 9:30 AM on a holiday and found four groups waiting. The restaurant opens at 11:30 AM, but I had heard that the dishes sell out quickly right after opening, so I decided to line up. This place is famous for its unagi dishes, characterized by a sweet sauce that enhances the fluffy texture and generous portions.While waiting, the owner came to take orders and informed us that the grilled unagi liver was already sold out, which was lucky for me. At 10 AM, they opened the doors, and after waiting for an hour and a half inside, I finally received my meal. It felt like a long wait!⚫︎ Unagi Donburi (2 pieces of unagi, liver soup, and pickles)⚫︎ Grilled Liver (limited quantity)The unagi was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a rich flavor that stood out. Among all the renowned restaurants I've visited, this one ranks at the top for its deliciousness, leaving me truly impressed. The grilled liver was also exceptional, with no unpleasant odor, showcasing its freshness. I want to commend myself for being able to order it—it was that good! After a long time, I was reminded of how amazing unagi can be. I definitely want to return when I visit Matsumoto City again.
