Today, I visited this restaurant at the request of an acquaintance. Although it was lunch, I made a reservation in advance to secure a counter seat. I debated over various options, but ultimately chose the Beef Sauté Lunch for JPY 3,850, which I had never tried before, instead of the classic Hamburger Steak.I started with the usual steamed potatoes, enjoying them with melted butter. They were delicious. Next came the soup. Unlike the typical corn soup, this one had a clear consomme base that highlighted the rich flavor of beef, offering a refreshing yet lingering taste. Then the Beef Sauté arrived. The meat was either thinly sliced or cut-off pieces, but there was no doubt it came from steak-quality beef. Plus, it was quite substantial. Taking my first bite, I could tell it was premium Omi beef. It was light yet packed with flavor, showcasing the natural taste of the meat rather than just the richness of the marbled fat. While steak is great, the true deliciousness of meat lies in the lean cuts.It paired wonderfully with white rice, but one bowl was definitely not enough. Since I was at the counter, I also had the opportunity to hear about the master's dedication to the meat and his passion for his work, which was quite enlightening. Although it’s a bit pricey, I would love to come back again. It was a great meal.
