On the eve of the long holiday, I received an exciting invitation. It’s been a while since I visited Tori Shige. It’s also been a while since I was at the south exit. Every time I eat here, I’m amazed. How can it be this delicious?The familiar rare grilled liver is a must! The melt-in-your-mouth white meat is heavenly! Oh, it’s so delicious!The special meat for the day was outside skirt! And I even indulged in two dishes for the finish! If I include the caviar hand roll, that makes three dishes! I’m just too happy to handle it.Coming to this Shinjuku south exit reminds me of my previous workplace. My boss and colleagues were so much fun, and everyone was so nice (*´ω｀*). Especially my section chief, who was also a fellow drinker, we laughed off hangovers almost every day.There were times we went bar hopping until around 3 AM, and the next day I felt like I was a zombie! They took me to their favorite snack bar, and we danced and sang (≧▽≦).If it weren’t for the boss-subordinate relationship, we would have definitely been drinking buddies (≧▽≦).Work was tough both mentally and physically, so I wish I could have continued if I hadn’t fallen ill. I had much more responsibility and fulfillment back then, even though there were daily challenges (w). Once I regain a bit more stamina, I’d love to try returning.I remember all of this when I come to Tori Shige. Delicious meat somehow connects me to memories of my previous workplace.
