I had heard rumors about Mutsuki in Taketoyo, and I was fortunate enough to be invited by someone I know for my first visit.I enjoyed the lunch course starting at 11 AM.The restaurant has a spacious layout typical of the region, and the atmosphere inside heightened my expectations.We began with seasonal isaki soft roe and grilled sashimi.It was simply delicious.Since we had a designated driver, we started with beer and then enjoyed a recommended chilled sake from the chef.The appetizers before the sushi were delightful.The sushi itself featured small, firm rice balls. They adjusted the rice to match the toppings, and the pace was just right. I can see why this place is hard to book.I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.Next time, I’ll make a reservation for the shinko (newly caught fish) season. I left feeling very satisfied after the bill.It was a great meal!
