Reservations at Tempura Asanuma have become incredibly difficult to secure, with regulars waiting a year to get a table. I was truly impressed by the deliciousness of the tempura. The Nagasaki specialty shrimp tempura sandwich, known as Hatoshi, was outstanding right from the first dish. The oil used is a blend of light sesame oil and fragrant sesame oil, creating a batter that is not just easy to eat but also flavorful. The way the batter is applied and fried changes its character. The ingredients are exceptional; even challenging items like eggplant and other moisture-rich vegetables are perfectly executed.◆ Hatoshi (Shrimp Tempura Sandwich) ◆ Crispy Shrimp ◆ Juicy Shrimp ◆ Kumamoto Red Eggplant (Higo Murasaki) ◆ Whiting ◆ Shiitake Mushrooms ◆ Clams ◆ Whitebait Wrapped in Perilla ◆ Asparagus ◆ Corn ◆ Fresh Squid ◆ Young Corn ◆ Scallop Wrapped in Seaweed ◆ Tokachi Make Queen Potatoes ◆ Kakiage Tempura Rice Bowl ◆ Tempura Cha The variety of textures in the batter and the selection of ingredients are remarkable. The eggplant is truly exceptional, and the potatoes and shiitake mushrooms are also fantastic. This time, there were spring wild vegetables, and their quality was top-notch. There is no better tempura restaurant than this.
