I made a reservation for eel the day before and visited the restaurant. Since seating is arranged in order, I ended up waiting for about an hour (but it was fine since I explored nearby Suzuhiro!).First, tea was served, but I requested water. The glass of ice-cold water, the teapot, and the teacup were all lovely. When the unaju (grilled eel over rice) was brought to my table and I opened it, I was amazed by its fluffy texture. The taste was more tender and flavorful than any eel I’ve ever had, with no unpleasant odor at all. The sauce and grilling were just to my liking. The clear soup was also delicious, rich in dashi flavor. The pickles had a clean taste without any unnecessary sweetness, refreshing my palate after the rich eel sauce. On my way out, I stopped by the restroom, which was also impressive. This restaurant exuded a sense of luxury and hospitality throughout. I would love to visit again next year.
