I revisited this popular unagi restaurant near Urawa Station on a holiday afternoon as part of my tour of renowned eateries. To my surprise, there was a line of about 40 people! However, the turnover was surprisingly quick, and I only waited about an hour before being seated. Fortunately, I could sit in the shade while waiting, and by noon, they had closed the line for new customers.Inside, there are 18 seats, and I ordered the "Shinko Unaju" (fresh eel rice bowl) sourced from Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture. The unaju was grilled over binchotan charcoal, resulting in a fluffy texture, though it lacked a crispy finish. The sauce was subtly rich and sweet, offering a refined flavor. Personally, I prefer a bolder taste.I will definitely come back! It was a great meal!
