I was invited by a junior colleague to finally visit Taniguchi. I arrived just before they opened their new location in Tenjinbashi. I started with the chicken soup to warm up my stomach, followed by the chicken breast sashimi. It was rich and delicious! Next, I had the gizzard and the white liver. I’m not usually a fan of white liver, but the Takasaka chicken was exceptional, with a melt-in-your-mouth fat that wasn’t overwhelming. For grilled items, I had the chicken breast and thigh. The cooking was impeccable—truly top-notch! It paired perfectly with my drinks! The refreshing grated daikon was a nice palate cleanser, followed by the skewers! I absolutely loved the grilling by the chef at Taniguchi! The tomatoes were unbelievably sweet. I enjoyed eating and drinking to my heart's content—what a fantastic time! Then, I had some cucumber and myoga to refresh my palate, followed by the pâté! It was incredibly sweet with no unpleasant odor. Just perfect! I continued to savor the skewers and, of course, ordered more! The chicken rice was also wonderfully mild and delicious. It was a great meal!
