In Ise City...A small reunion over sushi (^^♪At the beginning of July, we gathered in Kawazaki with our usual members!!Of course, our destination was the renowned restaurant "Komada."Everyone met at the neighboring "Kawazaki Kura" beforehand. We entered the restaurant five minutes before the scheduled time.As always, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly chef and owner, which lifted our spirits (^^♪We started with a toast with our drinks!!The sushi course began.Here’s what we had in order...☆ Torigai (clam)... from Aichi Prefecture, served with wasabi.☆ Iwashi (sardine)... garnished with sesame, also served with wasabi.Next, the nigiri...☆ Haruko (young sea bream)... from Kagoshima Prefecture.☆ Maguro (tuna)... from Yamaguchi Prefecture.☆ Ika (squid)... from Fukuoka Prefecture, specifically, swordtip squid.☆ Ara (fish)... from Chiba Prefecture.☆ Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch)... from Miyagi Prefecture.☆ Kisu (sandfish)... from Chiba Prefecture.☆ Mirugai (geoduck)... from Aichi Prefecture.☆ Uni (sea urchin)... red uni from Kumamoto Prefecture.At this point, we had one more dish...☆ Awabi (abalone)... from Toba, steamed abalone.Then, more nigiri...☆ Kuruma Ebi (sweet shrimp)... from Toba.☆ Aji (horse mackerel)... from Kagoshima Prefecture.☆ Hamaguri (clam)... from Kuwana, served as boiled clams.☆ Anago (conger eel)... from Aichi Prefecture.☆ Tekka Maki (tuna roll)... hand roll made with various parts of today’s tuna.☆ Hōbō Maki (dried gourd roll)... a specialty from Tochigi.☆ Tamagoyaki (sweet omelet)... served as a dessert alternative.This sushi course lasted about two and a half hours.Enjoying conversations with close friends while savoring delicious sushi is pure bliss (^_-)-☆We plan to gather again this winter.It was a great meal.2026.07 Tabelog rating: 4.57
